What a day...

wiseheartThe morning was basically wasted as the cleaning lady came 50 minutes later than originally supposed. We had, of course, prepared everything in advance, which means that the flat was practically unhabitable. We spent the hour of waiting in front of the telly - how nice that I had got up extra early to make everything ready!
Two and a half hours later the cleaning was done and we put everything back in place. Simultaneously, I've started the washing machine - Saturday is laundry day in our house, after all - and finished cooking. All that by 33°C. Such a fun afternoon - not!
By 5pm we were both dead on our feet and decided to have a nice, long nap (since I fell asleep over Solitary several times). Then the football started, and while I'm not really interested in it, I spent about five minutes in front of the telly around the end, biting my nails until England managed to win.
Needless to say that neither crafting nor writing got done today.
Outside, it is still 27°C, and things are supposed to get even worse next week. *sigh* I never really liked summer, but these temperatures really beat all previous dislikes.
