An artistic day

Quite unexpectedly, if I may add, since I felt like staying in bed all day this morning. *g*

Instead, I've actually finished binding the baby book:



The picture is a bit doctored: I added more contrast while editing, so that the pattern would be more visible. That changed the colours a little, but I think it was worth it. I've already posted a pic of the front cover with the true colours, after all.

Then I got stubborn and finished another lavender sachet; this time a linen one, originating from a blouse I didn't like and hardly ever wore, so I cut it up for creative use. There will be more sachets - and cherry pit pillows - coming from that blouse yet!



And we had our concert, which turned out quite well, so it was worth leaving my nice, comfy bed, after all.

I’m having a combined in bed/laundry day. Staying in bed, hopping out to attend to washing machine, hanging out clothes, back to bed. It sounds counterintuitive, but it is works for me. Thankfully it’s a bright, cold, clear day, with blue skies, and overnight frost. Hopefully my bed linen and towels etc. will eventually dry?

Thanks. That shirt was a gift from a colleague who tends to buy too much stuff and then gives part of it away. I gave it a try, but asymmetrically-cut clothing looks horrible on me. Too bad, as the fabric is actually ideal for hot days, but I refuse to look like the Adiposes from Doctor Who if I can avoid it. ;))
