wiseheart | Well, here goes nothing

We've rearranged the entire flat for the premiere of our new cleaning lady - more so than usual, as she can't know yet how to navigate between the pitfalls of our furniture. It took us all afternoon yesterday and all morning today. Then, barely 3 ours before she was supposed to show up, she called and cancelled, asking if she could come on Saturday instead. We told here that won't work, as we've prepared everything and we can't live under such conditions for three days.

We made another appointment for June 22, Saturday. We are giving her another chance (unexpected things can happen, but in that case one should give notice in time, IMO); if that doesn't work out, either, we'll just forget about her.

Since everything was prepared already, I did the cleaning all by myself. My back didn't thank me, but I told Mum that the only thing I really need a replacement for is window cleaning, as I can't climb ladders. Window cleaning is twice a year. Everything else I can do - perhaps not the whole flat at once, but in two parts. We'll see what happens, but I'm really fed up with unreliable people.

Speaking of which, cousin's firstborn didn't show up yesterday, either. And he forgot to call and cancel, too. *headdesk*
