... has been fun, so far. By accident, I've touched the symbol that finally removed the ugly, impractical and very wide side bar on my iPad browser, so I finally can use the thing for what it was chosen in the first place: to have a larger surface for reading. Up now, 1/3 of the surface was the dratted side bar! *insert bad words*

I've also tried out the camera and how I can send pictures directly from the gallery, without opening the mailing program first. The mini could do that, too (when the mailing program deigned to work), but this is a bit different; I hope I'll remember next time.

So, here are the pictures I made today. The first one is Little Shithead, my teddy bear, lazing around in the only armchair of my bedroom. Since the chair is too high for my to sit on it comfortably, LS can have it:

The second pic shows the new page of the baby book that I've finished today. Six pages down, three more to go, and then the binding. Wish me luck! The baby is due around the end of August, but I don't want to leave things to the last second.

The long, narrow tag says on the back: "Welcome home, Little Princess!" *g*

Having run out of leftovers, I cooked today: carrot soup with ginger and sweet chili sauce for seasoning, and Sauerbraten with pasta. They turned out very well, the taste and spices just optimal - and then we couldn't eat it!!! :(( Mum's stomach was uneasy, so we skipped lunch entirely. I nearly cried. Finally, I manage to get the taste right, and then we don't eat it!

Ah, well, that means two days without cooking again. Which means I can process the zucchini and make the vanilla slices with strawberries tomorrow. Still, as much as I hate cooking (and considering the fact that I spent the whole morning in the kitchen, as I had to process and freeze more stuff), it is very disappointing.

We had a short but powerful shower in the morning. Fortunately, it came in a 'good' angle, so the balcony was able to resist. Those are our small joys, as my Grandma would say. My friend Evie did have a bit of leakage, but she's only had this house for a year or so, therefore surprises (especially unpleasant ones) are still happening on the daily basis.

I've also typed up another page of Chapter 22 of the Enterprise story, so I'm declaring this a day full of accomplishments and refuse to do anything else even distantly related to work.

He has these small plastic balls in his butt; it feels as if he had his diapers full. *g*
The actual name would sound in German Kleiner Scheißer.

He has a good life! During daytime he gets to laze around in the armchair, with a pillow under his beany bag butt, during the night he gets to sleep with me in bed!

I sympathise. Owning your own home comes with a constant stream of expensive surprises.
Sorry to hear about the stomach woes. It's very frustrating when you put a lot of effort into food, then don't get to eat it. Hopefully, if you froze it, you will get to eat it some day.

Oh, we had it a day later. Stomach upset was a temporary thing, thank God.

As I said above, he has a beany bag bottom, hence the name.

Stomach pains and Sauerbraten do not get along well! Pity that you have put so much effort into cooking! The soup you can freeze, not so sure about the rest...

Actually, it is a fake Sauerbraten, made of turkey breast filet — a really light version. Upset stomach (not pains, just an unpleasant feeling of being overly full) was over by the afternoon, but we waited a day to eat the yummy food.
