More small victories

It is a good thing that LJ lets formerly used subject lines pop up automatically when you are typing in a similar one - otherwise I'd have too many entries with the same subject line. Selective memory and all that. Ahem. Yes.

In any case, I used my brand new Lidl app on my brand new smartphone for the very first time today and I actually managed to make it work. Hurrah! That made up for having spent the whole morning in various shops and the bank.

Also, a new cleaning lady (found via my friend Ilonka) came today to introduce herself and to negotiate the terms. It turned out that she's from Transylvania, too, and Mum and she might have fun later talking Romanian. I hope this will work out.

Not much else got done today, as I was tired after having cruised around in the heat. Mum volunteered to cook something really simple, so kitchen duty has been postponed for tomorrow. So not looking forward to it! But I've bought meat and veggies that need to be processed and used or frozen, so there is no way out.

Does your Lidl app allow you to order food, or does it just show the offers available?

I have no idea. I never ordered food. Living in a big city means that I've got supermarkets/grocery shops in walking distance (I mean a ten-minute walk), so I can go and see for myself what's available and decide what I want.

Lild has various items on offer each week, which the proud owners of a Lidl+ app can get for a reduced price. Yesterday I saved 500,- HUF ... which is the equivalent of 1.5 Euros, so it doesn't sound much, but in our economy I can buy a loaf of bread for it.
