It seems the problem is wide spread in our entire building. I hope the techie can fix it tomorrow. At least the telly has functioned so far. *fingers crossed*

Not much else happened. I was food shopping in the morning, did some minimal cooking - otherwise we are both trying to recover from yesterday.

Update: As of 19.00, things seem to have returned to normal. I can only guess that they've found some central problem and fixed it somehow. I still don't trust the peace completely, so I won't cancel the visit of the techie just yet, unless they call and cancel it from their end.

Good luck getting things sorted out! At least it being a house-wide problem means your tech isn't broken.

In apartment buildings such repair work should get done quicker than usual. I say should- my daughter´s flat is on the seventh floor, and there was no one to repair the lift for more than four months!

He cancelled in the morning, but that's OK; they've found the common problem and solved it yesterday.

Internet woes are a real pain nowadays. We all rely upon the service so much. Because I don't have a physical line into the house, but rely upon the mobile phone service, I have some days when it slows down. Sometimes it's slow to the point of useless. As I use it for TV watching that would be an issue, if I did not have an entire hard drive, filled with backups of favourite series.

Yes, the same way I save my favourite pieces of fanfic onto my HD, so that I can read it offline too.
