It seems to have been a returning motif lately. Behold the latest baby book page - very pink and very teddy-lastig, but I like it:

I've already done the base for the next page but need to add some embellishments and tags yet. The mini is being a doll, despite its mailing programme being totally whacky - somehow it always manages to connect when I have to send the pictures it makes to myself in an e-mail (Pinterest is no longer accessible for the mini, alas).

Other than that, it was another quiet day. I did a tiny bit of writing, Mum and I shared kitchen duty - she made the Faschiertes (sorry, no idea what they are called in English), I made the Kochkürbisgemüse and burned my finger, so no sewing today. Or tomorrow, most likely.

The physiotherapist lady had to cancel because her doctor's appointment lasted too long. Tomorrow we are (not really) looking forward to the visit of our talkative chiropodist lady; needs must, and neither of us can comfortably reach her own toenails any longer.

Tomorrow afternoon my cousin's son is due to come and perform some IT magic, but it might fell into water, as he and his entire family were down with some stomach virus last week. If he's not completely healthy, he won't come, which is very considerate of him, but that would mean another week (or more) with wacky equipment. *sigh* Well, it can't be helped, safety has to come first.

The baby book page is beautiful, I love it!
I hope your IT magician will be feeling well enough to pay a visit and wave his magical wand for you:)
Also, I want to tell you I have finished 'Solaris' and completely loved it. I very much enjoy the in-depth science and philosophy aspects of sci-fi, and this book was very satisfying in that respect. This past year I read Liu Cixin's Three Body Problem trilogy, and the year previously, I read Kim Stanley Robinson's Mars trilogy. Excellent reads.

My son has recommended an old book,'The Goblin Emperor', a fantasy novel about a fellow of goblin and elven ancestry, and I will be reading it as soon as I can get it from the library.

Good luck with tomorrow's visit from the chiropodist lady. Maybe she'll have a tiny bit of sore throat and not be able to talk for long!

She did have a bit of sore throat — it didn't hinder her in talking without a break.

I'm glad you liked Solaris. You really should like to get her hands on Kyberiada, or whatever its title in English might be. It is a great collection.

He is very considerate of your mum's delicate health. He sounds like a nice guy. One of the joys of having recently lost a bit of tummy, is being better able to reach my nether regions.

Well, yes, the limbs not being as limber as they used to be is more of a reason than the tummy, honestly. I was always chubby but didn't have problems with being limber in my younger years.

Finally a considerate man, who knows that germs are not wanted, especially with older people!

It turns out he was so miserable that he simply forgot about the whole thing. *g*
But yes, that branch of the family is fairly considerate in health matters.

Love the book and the teddies. Hope your IT man feels better and can work his magic soon.
