... and it is Sunday again. I really wonder where the time goes so fast.

Anyway, it was a quiet day, just the way I like it. House elf duty was reduced to taking down the washing and making lunch, but the latter was actually an enjoyable affair. I made Spargelstrudel, that is, a puff pastry roll filled with asparagus, ham, grated cheese and creme freche. I varied the recipe a bit by adding a cooked, diced potato to the mix, so that it wouldn't be too rich for Mum, and the result was fantastic. We gobbled up half the Strudel on the spot, and just left over enough for tomorrow.

As for other creative efforts, I've sewn in the front page of the felt songbook. It was every bit as painful as I had expected... and then some. I've decided that one page on every other day will be the solution, to give my poor fingers a rest in-between.

In the afternoon I got an unexpected bout of inspiration and wrote about half a page for a later chapter of "Charmed into Darkness". Since the whole concept has changed completely, I needed a new way to introduce Prue Halliwell to Nahir (the 13,000-year-old ancient vampire), and last night the idea finally popped up. I'm pleasantly surprised that I hadn't forgotten it by this morning, as I didn't feel up to the challenge to write it down at 1.12am.

I've also tried to hunt down my neighbour, the IT guy, for the renewal of my antivirus programme. So far no luck; I might send him a text message later. My antivirus is running out on May 5!

It's frustrating when I consider what plans I had for my retirement and how time flies by me without any of those plans to come together. :((

They are tough. They get abused time and again, after all.

Time just flies by at speed. You would think that the days would drag by, given the sameness of my days, with no work, just staying at home, leaving only for medical appointments, but times races. Bizarre.
Your asparagus Strudel sounds delicious!

Strudel was very yummy indeed. Excellent lunch for two consecutive days.

And routine can be very time-consuming, even if you haven't an elderly parent in the house to take care of.

Have they sent you a reminder regarding renewal? In my limited experience they will usually include a link to help you renew.

There is — assuming you are not too stupid or too much of a coward to do it online. Which I am.
