... I was being crafty this morning, putting all the pretty things acquired yesterday to good use. Here are the front and the back covers of the new baby book, respectively.

I got the inspiration from this YouTube video, but I can already see that my book will be very different. Not only because I can't get all those ready-made pretty embellishments these YouTuber ladies have in heaps, but mostly because my basic paper is so beautiful I want to glue over as little of it as possible. Still, I'm fairly content with the outcome.

BTW, the book has satin ribbons to close with, but they've managed not to get onto the picture, and I didn't want to put undue pressure on the mini. It's a miracle that it still pulls itself together when I need to take a photo and mail it to myself, so that I can edit it on my desktop PC.

Other then that, we were both tired and lazy for some reason. Perhaps the rapidly changing temperatures caused it, but we dozed in front of the telly, then napped a bit, and that was it. Oh, and I put away the emptied cookie tins, which counts as a big achievement on a day like this. ;)

Those are beautiful. And yes, that paper is much too pretty to cover up.

It would have been a shame, I think.

This is lovely! I think it looks perfect without any extra embellishments.

Well, there are a few extras, like the lace butterfly, the paper lace, the flower and the little crowns, but I tried to keep it low-key.

No need to glue embellishments onto such a pretty paper!

As mentioned above, there are a few little extras, but really not that much. I wanted to keep the beautiful pattern intact.

Thanks! The "ribbon" is actually just a slip of white cardstock that I turned into paper lace with the help of a craft punch, so I'm very proud that you've "bought" it. *g*
