... was extremely busy.

First, I've finished my bunnies-in-eggs. They've turned out very nicely. Lookie, lookie:

And then I rappled myself up and did the Easter decoration. This time I didn't do a purely egg wall but added a few birds and lambs as well:

I've also made a small arrangement for my bedroom:

And I've dug out and hung up the hand-painted eggs for the living room decoration:

Other than that, I've cooked lunch (Shepherd's Pie), boxed the remaining Easter biscuits and worked a bit on my [livejournal.com profile] picowrimo project. With that, the day was basically over, but I'm fairly content with my achievements.

I love how the bunnies all have individual expressions! A fun bunch to look at.

I've made them — and the Easter candle — in the late 1980s. I'm not sure my hands would be stable enough to do such delicate work in these days.

Thank you, I'm quite content with them. :)
Although my real pride and joy are the hand-painted eggs. Sometimes I wonder if I'd be able to do some more — my hands might not be stable enough for that.

Thank you. :) The good thing with these ornaments is that one can combine them in new ways every time.

Thank you. They are cheeky little buggers, but I think the recipients, who are between the ages of three and ten, will like them.

I love seeing your decorations. I've never been one for decorating at Easter. Maybe it's because I grew up in an atheist household...or maybe it's because I don't like the 'clutter'.

TBH, it has little to do with the religious aspect of Easter (save for the candle) and everything to do with Hungarian folklore and tradition. Those patterns on the eggs are all genuine, traditional ones, from the various areas of the country. I found them in a pattern book and kept to them stubbornly.
