I've baked three different sorts of Easter biscuits today and iced and decorated two of them - because I simply run out of space where to put them to dry, so the third batch will be prettied up tomorrow, when the two from today are already boxed. Wow - that was one long, running sentence!

Nothing else was done today. No crafting, no writing... and no resting, save for the short time when we were eating our meals in front of the telly. Terrible custom, I know, but that's what we always do. So yeah, I'm behind my sewing and writing schedule, but I thought forcing either of those activities will bring nothing good. So I lay down with Methuselah-the-laptop, played Solitaire and read fanfic (my own - how pathetic is that?) for an hour.

And now the day is over, but I don't feel tired at all. That happens when I've worked on something I actually enjoy. Spending several hours with my biscuits have actually rejuvenated me! ;)

You've gotten so much done, be proud of what you have accomplished and relax now! Baking is very exhausting work, even if satisfying.

But it is a good exhaustion: you get something nice in exchange, unlike with all other kinds of housework.

There's nothing wrong with reading your own fanfic. You wrote the story because it's one you like, so why not enjoy the fruits of your labour?

I only wish other people would appreciate it half as much as I do. But I was born without the popularity gene, both in my fannish lives and in RL.

We regularly eat meals in front of the telly, too :)

And I quite often go back and read some of my own writing, so I think that is an excellent idea!

Eating in front of the telly was a no-go, when our children were young. But I have to admit that I do it now and then, when no one watches...

When I was a child, we had but a single room and a kitchen shared with my uncle's family. So, eating in front of the telly was the only way to go. *g*
