No, really! The biscuit they are made of has freeze-dried raspberries in it. Of course, I needed to help the colour a bit with food colouring, which I put into the dough too late, so that the bunnies ended kind of impressionistic, with a mix of white and pink, but they still look good. Tomorrow (or the day after, as tomorrow promises to be rather busy) I'll glue them together with raspberry jam and make a white chocolate icing (with a hint of pink) on top. I'm sure they'll look pretty enough.

Crafting-wise I've worked on my Easter bunnies-in-an-egg some more. Only 6 of the tiny little felt hearts need to be stitched on yet, but my fingers capitulated before that. Instead, I started seaming the egg pouches with blanket stitch, which was a true blessing: only one layer of felt and no rock hard glue at all. Besides, that needs to be done, too, so it was progress anyway.

Writing-wise I'm still jigsawing valiantly. This chapter, as I've mentioned before, is a real pain; it needs extensive rewriting, while I'm trying to keep as much of the original as would match the new concept. Grrr...

I should decorate the bunny biscuits today but am too tired for it. *sigh*
Even though Mum determinedly marched into the kitchen and did the washing-up for me. Now that she's feeling better, she can't be stopped anymore. ;)

Not sweet enough for my taste, but that's often the case when the recipe asks for powdered sugar. The white chocolate icing will take care of the problem. Since my ages-old pink cake melts have gone bad (not really a surprise), and since I can't get those here, I'll simply colour white chocolate pink and go with it. ;)

And they are pretty, too! See here (https://www.marions-kaffeeklatsch.de/2023/03/himbeer-und-weie-schokoladen-hasen.html)!

Mine aren't finished yet, but I'll post a picture, assuming that the iPad mini cooperates.

Lol. I love the fact that your Mum is capable of marching anywhere as, I imagine, are you. I like jigsawing writing. I find it much easier when I have a base to work with. That said, I've been tinkering with a little piece for two years now.

This story started in 2007, so it's high time it turns into something publishable!

Ah yes, the problem with the food colouring is not completely unknown to me!
