Crafty Sunday

Today I was mostly working on the Easter bunnies... well, on the egg pouches in which they'll be sitting anyway. Each one of those has three concentric hearts as decoration, and I was stitching on those hearts all morning. The results: 3 out of the 14 pouches have all 3 of their hearts stitched on, the remaining 11 have two. I'm nearing the end of this phase, but my fingers are complaining. Stitching through 3 layers of hard felt isn't easy; especially as I had to fix the tiny little pieces with textile glue, and that gets rock hard after drying.

I also took down the dried washing, made lunch and vanilla custard with chopped strawberries for dessert, walked the corridor with Mum again, managed a bit of writing and talked to a friend on the phone. That makes me quite proud of my achievements.

Next time, stitch the smallest heart to the middle heart, then the middle heart to the largest, then the largest to the egg. Just a suggestion.

My fingers hurt just thinking about sewing on felt layers. You accomplished quite a bit!
