... is such a faithful little gadget! Its browser is outdated, so that it can't access most websites, half the apps are outdated and thus not working, it doesn't have enough storage space to download the new versions... the list goes on. The mailing program is acting up most of the time, too, but whenever I need to send myself a photo (because uploading them doesn't work, either), the mini collects its strength and makes it work. Isn't it heroic from the wee thing?

As a result, I present you the finished 4th pages of the two baby books. (Still not via Pinterest, that problem needs a computer-savvy saviour, but I made room in my LJ scrapbook by deleting some old pictures.)

The closed pages (pink the girl version, blue the boy one, as always):

And the same ones opened:

Other than that, I cooked for two days in advance: a hybrid dish between Shepherd's Pie and zucchini lasagna. Meaning that I made a sauce very similar to that of SP and added it to the mincemeat. The middle layer were thin zucchini slices and the upper one thin potato slices. It turned out quite well, and I won't have to cook tomorrow. Yay!

I also did some writing. Having finished jigsawing together some decades-old pieces, I've now started rewriting the chapter, adding the odd paragraph here and omitting six others there. Perhaps it will work out in the end. *fingers crossed*

Mum had a visit from the physiotherapist lady who is satisfied with her progress. But I'll have to go to the pharmacy today and buy a gadget with which we can check Mum's blood pressure regularly, now that a heart problem had recently raised its ugly head. *sigh*

They come from a single, baby-themed sheet I've discovered at Rayher's by accident.

A day with no cooking is always such a relief!

And yeah, taking her blood pressure regularly is definitely good. We have to do this too since my mom has high blood pressure, it is USUALLY well-medicated, but stress or other illnesses can fuck it up.

Give your mum my regards; it's a shame we couldn't met her when the two of us were in Hamburg.

Well, lunch (which is the main meal over here) didn't quite turn out how I had hoped, but we'll eat it for three days nonetheless. Nothing goes to waste in this house, unless they've turned bad.

Those teddys made me buy the sheets in the first place.

I've been promising myself a home blood pressure cuff for years and just never seem to get around to it. (I had high blood pressure years ago, although I never bothered because the doctor said it wasn't high enough to medicate.)

Last time we used one of those things was back in the early 1990s; Grandma had high blood pressure. The gadget died a quiet death in the bottom of the wardrobe since then, as we never needed one. But now that Mum had heart problems I needed to buy a new one. Hopefully, it won't be too difficult to learn how to use it.

Isn“t it fun to jigsaw together old pieces of writing! Then again, in your case it turned out well!

Well, it isn't quite finished yet, but I'm hoping it will turn out well.
