... of Pinterest. Today, it worked like a charm, I could upload the pictures I posted yesterday. Apparently, it was a glitch. Thank God, I depend on that site in so many ways!

Other than that, we had an uneventful day - except it being filled with Mum duty. She's doing fairly well but still feels weakened, and because of that, she's uncertain on her feet. I hope we'll be able to build her strength back up eventually.

Aaand being older than dirt pays off, apparently. I went to Lidl today, and they're having a senior bargain till the end of the month. All customers older than 65 years get a 10% lowering of prices when it comes to fruit, vegetables or cold cuts. Yay! I bought some raspberries today, which I probably wouldn't have otherwise, as they are insanely expensive. Mum loves them, though, so I just grabbed them for 90% of the original price. Still expensive but less so this way.

I also did a bit of mending in the afternoon, and took a nap. Days are definitely more exhausting now; and I'm not getting any younger, either.

Oh, that's nice about the cheaper prices.

It is a win-win situation. Good for them, as people will buy more stuff than usual, so they make profit. Good for us, as we get the stuff for a slightly reduced price, and in these days every cent counts.

I'm happy to hear that Mum is recovering, even if slowly. I had raspberries last night, as a treat. Soft fruit is expensive here, too, but it's better for me than snacking on potato chips/crisps and nuts.

Raspberries are expensive, indeed. Strawberries not so much, and they come in larger cartons. I think that at this time of the year both taste fairly bland, but i buy them anyway. I love the taste of summer, and you and your mum, too, at least I think so!
