I wanted to upload new pictures of the baby books - yes, I've actually made some headway, little though it is - and it keeps telling me that my pics are the wrong format. They are not - they are JPG, just like the rest of them. Then, because I'm sneaky, I tried to upload (again) a pic that's already there and that had been accepted without problems a couple of weeks ago. I got the same error message. So the fault is not by me, obviously. I'll post them here, but I might not be able to keep them beyond October, as my paid account will run off then, which means very limited storage space. If only I weren't such a luddite! I could afford to pay for my account... I just haven't got a clue how to do it" *facepalm*

Anyway, here are the pics as long as I can have them. Should Pinterest come to its senses I'll repost them from there.

On domestic news, Mum is doing well and working on putting the household book-keeping in proper order again. We had laundry day and ate instant soup with cheesecake as afters because I simply didn't have the strength to cook.

Thank you. I hope she'll gain her strength back, eventually.

Sounds like things are settling down at home with Mum's steady recovery, which is great news
The baby books are so sweet, a beautiful job.

For Pinterest, would an in-the-know friend be able to come over and help you figure out how to renew your subscription?

Good luck with everything at home. Sending lots of love and good thoughts your way!

Thanks, those are very appreciated. :)
As for Pinterest, I'm sure it's just one of their frequent glitches that will hopefully clear up eventually. *fingers crossed*
It's still annoying, though; and no, I don't have any in-the know friend.

Well, it is still a long way to go till she regains even her limited strength, but I'm cautiously optimistic.

Those papers are so pretty.

My book-keeping skills are limited to copy and pasting an excel sheet each year. I created it about four years ago and just keep tweaking it as finances change.

Then you are about 200% better at it than I am.

No one here is good at book keeping, that's why no one does.
I hope that your mum will regain most of her former strength! It's hard to do so at her age, and each step forward should be rewarded with...cake?

Hard, yes, but we are working on it. And cake definitely does play an important role. ;))

As for book-keeping, Mum used to do it professionally for half a century, so I leave it gladly in her capable hands. More so as it gives her something she can do while sitting in an armchair and keeps her mind occupied.

The books look lovely. I do hope your Mum soon becomes confident enough on her feet that you can leave her to go to choir.

When LJ asked me to renew I sent a message saying that, as they only accepted payment in roubles, and UK (and Manx!) banks are legally not allowed to deal in roubles, although I would very much like to renew my subscription I was not able to. They sent me a nice reply saying they would continue my account as a paid one under the circumstances :)

I know a few others who have done the same thing and had the same result.

Actually, I think our banks belong to the few who can still deal in roubles. It's just so that I don't know how to do these things! I'm such a hapless Luddite, it's not even funny!
