Oh, YouTube, not you, too!
Jan. 21st, 2024 07:24 pmI'm afraid I'll have to switch to a new operations system sooner or later (I'd prefer later, TBH - I hate all the changes they keep making). YouTube has been acting up lately, too. Once in a fortnight it just doesn't start the videos, and after some fruitless efforts tells me to try restart my device. That usually helps, although today I had to do it twice until it finally cooperated. As if I needed more grey hairs!
Otherwise, it was a fairly uneventful day. We rearranged the flat for tomorrow's cleaning frenzy, which took half the day, then Mum volunteered to cook: potato goulash (I peeled and cubed the potatoes in advance; not the right job for her bad shoulder), and after lunch (which took place fairly late) we decided to take a nap. In that half-hour she had two phone calls, so napping was deleted from the programme - for both of us, as the frigging phone woke me up, too.
Since I was awake anyway, I called my friend Evie and we talked for about an hour or so. I also called H. and learned the little Emma has to go to hospital with her respiratory problems - again! That child has it seriously with bronchitis and fever and the likes, all winter long... and sometimes during other seasons as well. I feel so sorry for her; I had the same problems as a child and let me tell you, it wasn't fun! At least I didn't have to go to hospital with it.
Crafting-wise I worked a bit on the inside cover of the girl-book. Only one more tag is needed, but I simply didn't feel like doing more. And in my current state of mind I stop crafting in the moment when it ceases to be fun.

Date: 2024-01-21 07:12 pm (UTC)Oof, yeah sounds like you will have to make changes soon enough :( IYouTube is pretty solid, if this one is giving you trouble, you'll probably be running into a lot of trouble elsewhere, too
Good luck with the cleaning frenzy Monday
