... but H. was. She sent me this picture, stating that she just couldn't resist:

I think the little wreaths are super cute. I've asked her if I could have some for next Christmas. No answer as yet... *g*

So, no crafting and no cooking, but I did transcribe 6 hand-written pages to my PC. Now I only have to translate the rest into English, and then I can post this piece to [livejournal.com profile] otherworlds_lib, to make original BSG-fans happy. If they can deal with extensive world-building, that is.

Tomorrow we'll have our cleaning frenzy, for the first time for over a month, so it's gonna be hard. We've been packing all afternoon, so that the cleaning lady can actually get to the dirt, and will continue in the morning. Then, when she's done, we'll do the whole thing again, only backwards. Oh, hell...

Not much else to report. Weekends are always rather uneventful, as not even the few things we usually watch on TV are on during Saturdays and Sundays, and you all know what our social life is like. Not that I'd mind peace and quiet, to be honest.

I´d love to make some of those wreaths, too! Would make a nice garland!

I wish I could crochet. Perhaps I should ask Erna, our art teacher to teach me. Because no, I can't do it with the guidance of YouTube videos. I'm stupid that way.

Wish I could teach you. It's easy to do, when you know the stitches!

Wouldn't it be fun if I could visit you for a crash course in crocheting?

The classic Battlestar Galactica from 1978. With Lorne Greene (points at icon), Richard Hatch and Dirk Benedict in the leading roles.

Ah ... I just didn't know the abbreviation.
I rewatched that last year. Or 2022? It was on Tele5. 😁

That show was my first love in science fiction. I wish I still had my satellite TV; Tele5 and Pro7 used to bring reruns of old shows. I loved rewatching them.

I have to get do a proper cleaning in the next few days. I’ve. Been shockingly lazy and haven’t done a thing for far too long. The dust bunnies are multiplying. They’re breeding like rabbits!!!

Well, if you call them dust bunnies... Although they breed like rabbits over here, too, despite the fact that they are called dust kittens in Hungarian. *g*

I find the different ways different languages express the same thing highly interesting. For example, we don't say "bite the dust". We say "bite into grass" instead. Perhaps because our ancestors used to be semi-nomadic, devoted to their horses as much as the Rohirrim. *g*

It is interesting. Linguistics is a fascinating topic. I would imagine that the more languages you know, the greater the insight into the ways humans think and their cultures.

The wreaths are sweet. I'm working on sending postage for the wee decorations Heidi posted. LJ won't accept any of my credit cards, presumably because UK banks aren't speaking to Russian ones.

Oh, leave it! I'm covered till December 6; let's hope I'll find someone who explains me, step by step, how I might buy paid LJ time for myself. It isn't so that I don't have the money — I'm just too stupid to do it! And Russian banks will most likely speak to Hungarian ones.

It would also give me the chance to see Kufstein and Salzburg properly — you live not that far from either, are you?

Those little wreaths are lovely.

I had intended to have a cleaning day like that on Sunday, but my body thought differently — maybe tomorrow...

Your friend is so talented. I can knit (the basics) but never learned how to crochet. Too bad, as it seems to go much faster than knitting and the patterns one can make are lovely.
