One day left till Christmas Eve, and this was a very productive day indeed.

Firstly, I've finished the new front page to the Christmas-themed quiet book. Here you can see the scene without Santa:

And here is the same with Santa slipping down the chimney:

After that, I decided to decorate the Christmas tree a day earlier, but I won't post the picture until tomorrow, as it is proper. *g*

Elise came over in the afternoon and we had a very pleasant hour of conversation and exchanging gifts. So, it was a busy day, but a nice one, and I'll only have to do the cooking tomorrow. After Elise left, Mum and I went down to check our mail (which we forgot to do yesterday), and lo and behold: a beautiful Christmas card sent by [livejournal.com profile] akane42me was in the mailbox! Thank you so much, my friend!

Oh, and we had snowfall for most of the day, so at the moment we have a true winter wonderland all around us. What's even better, I won't have to go out into all that wetness until next Wednesday. ;) Unfortunately, snowfall has turned into rain a short time ago, but perhaps the snow will keep until tomorrow and we'll have a white Christmas nonetheless.

I love the page, especially the Santa in the chimney! I made you a Christmas card, but I am afraid I won't get it mailed until after Christmas. So sorry that it will arrive late.

A white Christmas would be so lovely. Not that I want one here. I shall be travelling back from my cousin's house in the wee small hours of the morning after Christmas day. Snow and ice, on dark country roads, is not something I enjoy.

That's brilliant. And nice to have snow to look out at, and not have to go out into it!.

True, that's the best way to have snow. Alas, ours was immediately followed by persistent rain and washed away in a matter of an hour or so. :(

Hooray, your card arrived in time for Christmas! I'm so pleased! I had to mail it early, as we were leaving for Mexico on December 7th, so I hoped it would arrive in time. One never knows with international mail:)

And now, I must tell you how beautiful your Christmas quiet book is. It really is charming. I love Santa coming down the chimney! So sweet!

I must admit that Santa was actually a ready-made piece I bought in a craft shop, but the concept is more or less mine. :)
