Advent 2023 - Day 19
Dec. 19th, 2023 08:07 pmWe had a busy day, with lots of social life - for our circumstances. *g*
Firstly, I tried my hand on the sausage roll wreath I saw in the GBBO recently, and this was the result:

It does look a little odd, but it tastes heavenly, so I'm not complaining.
Then Evie sent her photos of the Christmas fair, which are basically the same, from slightly different angles, so I chose this one to share:

Mum had a visit from the physiotherapist lady - the last one for this year. Then Ilonka dropped by briefly to fetch her Advent calendar (for next Advent now, but since little Andrew is barely a year old he'll value it next year more anyway).
Then Eenie called to ask if I really meant that I could fill another tin with cookies for them; mostly for her daughter who's up to her eyeteeth in exams and really needs brain (and soul) fodder. I told of course I meant it, and she dropped by with her tin box for about half an hour. My cookies are loved by small and big, it seems. *g*
Craft-wise I continued working on the new front page of the Christmas quiet book. Did the last bit of Velcro work, have sewn on the big star and snowflake ornaments and glued together the two parts of the rocking horse. I'm still not sure I'll manage to get Santa down the chimney, but we'll see. Lots to do until that part comes around.
