... are confusing like whoa! For a couple of hours I seriously believed that tomorrow will already be the first Sunday of Advent. Then I checked it online and realized that no, it won't be until December 3. Which is a relief, as I might get the chance to give my friend Ilonka the handmade Adventskalender just in time. Or not, as next week promises to be.

In any case, I've boxed all my biscuits today before going on my epic shopping trip - it is quite time-consuming to hunt down the individual food items in three different supermarkets, keeping an eye on which is price-reduced in which supermarket. It took me the whole frigging morning, and afterwards I was so exhausted that I had to take a short nap. Getting more sleep in general wouldn't hurt at my old age, I think, but there are always more urgent things to do. *sigh*

Still, I got the chance to write a little, and the chapter-in-work for "Charmed into Darkness" is now finished. Which means that I now have two chapters to type up and make the necessary corrections in the process. When I'll get the necessary time and quiet is another question entirely.

I've got a peaceful life, though, completed with my poor (ex-)colleagues. The stories my friend Evie told me just an hour ago about what's going on at school make me eternally grateful that I'm a retired old hag.

Apparently. I find it strange, to be honest.

Having to teach must be getting worse each passing year. No wonder that way too few people want to take this job!

Especially with the govt. doing their best to use teachers as convenient scapegoats.

This morning I woke up thinking it was a few days away from Christmas! Nightmare!!! Time rushes as I age.
Teachers have it so hard. Crappy conditions and hours and not fully appreciated. You teachers are the unsung heroes.

And when your own boss keeps mobbing you, as mine did with me, the best thing is to retire as soon as possible.

It seems teachers, the world over, are struggling at present. And you're not an 'old hag'. You are a kind lady of the older generation.

Well, I'm not sure "kind" would be the right term to describe me, but I thank you nevertheless. *g*
