I came, I baked, I won!

wiseheartToday I baked five different kinds of biscuits. That meant five times worrying whether the dough will cooperate, two times worrying whether the new recipe I gave a try would turn out edible, and working from 9am to 6.15pm, with the occasional break in front of the telly.
Additionally, I also had a visitor in the morning, which was very nice. Adrienne came over for a couple of hours because her morning had unexpectedly become free. It is so much easier to work in the kitchen while chatting with someone about completely different things; we both had great fun.
Of course, four of the five sorts still will have to be filled and/or iced and decorated tomorrow, but the really hard part is beyond me. I'm up to 14 different sorts, so nearly half of them are done, which is a relief.
Consequently, not much else got done today, save for a tiny bit of writing. I haven't even cooked lunch. Fortunately, Mum is every bit as fond of Tütensuppe mit Butterbrot as I am. *g*
