Crafty pictures

So, I finally got around to take pictures of the recently finished stuff.
Let's start with the front cover of the finished songbook:



Continuing with the little pillow cases I had to sew by hand, after all (Louise, I haven't forgotten how you'd betrayed me!):



(As you can see, I used the rests from the songbook cover to make them.)

And finally, the (so far) four little purses, first closed and then two of them opened, so that you can see the inside (complete with the Velcro misery):





Meanwhile, I've started on the second, mainly identical songbook that goes to a different recipient, of course. All 7 sets of cloud-and-sun combo are now firmly stitched on. I can attack the trees tomorrow.

Not much else happened. I was tired all day - apparently, the aftermath of two weeks of intense heat or whatnot. I gave the peach fritters a try and messed them up totally, even though Mum liked them. And I had two nice phone chats with two different friends. So, all in all, a (mostly) successful day.

Although you say you get no crafting done because of life commitments, you seem to get a great deal done in my eyes. The little purses are so cute.

Peach fritters should get done with ripe peaches! I like the purses hand-stitched, but I dislike Louise's disloyalty!

Louise disappointed me greatly! All she'd have to do was sew along the edge of the pillow cases, everything else was meant to be done by hand, but no, she refused to cooperate. :((
