Meaning the baby book. I've managed the binding with one minor mistake that is barely visible, unless you know what to look for. Phew! Ironically, Erica (the recipient grandmother) did call me right in the middle of the process, so she now knows that it is done.

Otherwise it was a quiet day. I made Topfenknödel for lunch and used the leftover broth in which the Königsberger Klopse were cooked for a soup. I also made apricot ragout (?) because the apricots I had bought proved too hard for Mum to ate them raw. It was yummy with the Topfenknödel.

I've selected a few pieces of patterned felt left over from earlier projects and will turn them into little purses for the charity fair. It is quick and easy work (or so I hope) that I can do on days when I don't have enough time to work on the felt book.

My friend Evie is due to come over tomorrow. I hope it will work this time, even though I'll have to do the grocery shopping at daybreak. *g*

Isn't it strange that this year apricots look like sweet, ripe ones, but at home you will find that they aren't sweet at all and hard to eat. That happens because we are well-educated and do not test them in the shop by poking them.
