Garden party postponed

... because of the awfully strong winds we are currently having. Making an open fire would be a hopeless undertaking, so Evie suggested that we postpone our get-together for Thursday. Erna was OK with the new appointment, so Thursday it is.

Personally, I don't mind the delay. I have to go to school at a certain time tomorrow to fetch the eggs, plus I have to get to the Savoy Park shopping centre to get Mum's eye drops from the pharmacy and to see if the Auchan supermarket still has various kinds of sliced cheese on offer - we are about to run out of cheese. So, getting up early to bake cheesy buns for the garden party, and that after a day spent with vigorous cleaning would have been a bit brutal.

Accordingly, not much else was done today. Except for the Apfelkrapfen, of course, which were devoured with due enthusiasm. After that, I was so gerädert that I needed a nap - which lasted two hours. We then watched The Repair Shop, and by the end of that it was 7pm already. Where does all the time go, every day?
