... since the deadlines are looming on the horizon rather threateningly.

Therefore I turned my loving attention to the baby book. As mentioned in my previous entry, I had many of the tags and other embellishments done in advance, so today I started gluing on the patterned background papers to the page bases. I've got as far as five before I had to stop and do housewife-y things. One of the pages is completed (making things in advance has really paid off), 4 others are half-done. Not bad for about an hour and a half of work, if I say so myself!

I'll try to speed up the work on this book, to get as much done as possible before I face the serious problem of binding the felt one. Let's hope things will get together in time. *fingers crossed*

Housewife-y things went well, too. I've cored the last cherries I bought two days ago and put them into the freezer - they'll be (perhaps) enough for one cherry pie during winter. I'll try to find some more tomorrow, but I won't put my hopes too high. Lunch was a simple affair: leftover soup and Topfenknödel, the latter of which we have once every other week.

Tomorrow I'll have to make a food run again. We decided to have stuffed kohlrabi for at least two days, and what don't we have in the house? Right: kohlrabi. So I'll try my luck with Aldi and Lidl tomorrow - one of them ought to have the things. Also, Aldi has mincemeat on offer, which I'll also need for the dish; and when I'm there already, I'll do the complete grocery shopping.

So, that was it, basically, for today. And crap telly, as always - although I don't actually consider The Repair Shop as being crap. ;))

I don't think I've ever had stuffed kohlrabi but it sounds yummy.

It is; similar to stuffed cabbage, in fact. Grandma used to make it, but we haven't had it since she died, back in 1996. Now we decided to get nostalgic and give it a try.

Working with paper is so much faster than sewing. I should start work on this year's card batch for Christmas presents.

Yeah, me, too. But I can't afford any distractions until this two big projects are finished.
