Namely, to school, where I ordered next month's eggs and chatted with our cleaning ladies and office workers (everyone else is on vacation). Before that, I went to the Chinese shop to buy cleaning detergents, deodorant, talcum powder and horse salve for Mum's aching joints. Then I went to Lidl to do some grocery shopping - all very mundane and boring stuff.

But since [livejournal.com profile] adafrog asked for a picture of our grocery shop, here it is (a promotion photo, obviously, not taken by me):

What else? No cooking; thank God we had leftovers. On the crafting front, I cut out the two fabric panels for the front and back cover of the songbook. Alas, the cotton has quite a few creases, so I'll have to soak it and iron it while still wet. Gah. So annoying - but necessary. I also took out the ingredients to the baby book that needs to be finished this month. Tomorrow I'll work on the page bases - or at least I'll try.

Lidl looks the same everywhere, more or less. 😁

Not the one we have a little further — they took over the rooms of a bookshop and built a fairly bizarre supermarket in them. For starters, you have to walk a long, narrow corridor to get into the shop itself, and it is so illogically arranged that I avoid it like a plague.

Thanks. :) I love seeing where people live.

Horse liniment for mom? Neat. Does it help a lot?

It does help a little — and every little bit is a relief.

That looks exactly like all the Lidle stores I've seen in the UK. They must use the same plans for them all. It's much bigger than my little local Co-op.

I think they have a basic layout and all stores are built based on that. Well... save the one a bit further away from us, which is a nightmare. Usually, the ones they build from the scratch are all the same, and where they take over already existing stores... not so much.

Most Lidl look this way. Funny, but the word Lidl always came after 'mama' and 'papa' with my grandchildren! Lidl is popular!
