I've been painting lolly sticks all morning. And half the afternoon, too. I also painted some laser-cut wooden figures I had bought at different occasions: little pine trees, tea pots, Christmas crackers, stars and the likes. Fortunately, the telly didn't offer anything worth watching, so I managed to do more than I had originally hoped for.

I also finished typing up the last random "Birthright" scene. It can be viewed at [livejournal.com profile] otherworlds_lib.

It is still very warm over here. We opted against cooking and had leftover soup with some sandwiches. Tomorrow I'll have to make a cooked meal before our stomachs forget what those are like.

Oh, and we had laundry day, too, of course. After all, it is Saturday.

Lol. Our schedules coincided. I changed bedding and washed the sheets etc. yesterday too. Tonight's meal will be defrosted and microwaved casserole and instant rice.

I couldn't postpone cooking any longer: the Quark for Topfenknödel has reached its "best before" date, and I refuse to throw out food on principle. Unless it has gone bad, of course, but I'm very good at keeping an eye on my resources and use them up before that happens.

Laundry day here also! I hate laundry days, when it's rainy outside and I have to hang out the laundry inside. But I swore to myself- no more dryer! Needs too much electricity!

We don't even own a dryer. I'd love to have one, but we simply don't have the space where we could put it. We have no other choice than hang out the laundry inside, since we don't have an "outside", either. But one can get used to a lot of things. (Which doesn't mean that one has to like it.)

I do wish we could swap weather for a day or two ; I would quite like to put my thin cotton dresses on again, and you might appreciate 2 days of rain and 15C temperatures — honestly!

I'm not sure the balcony could withstand two days of rain, but lower temperatures would be a blessing indeed. I'd gladly send over to you at least ten degrees.
