Still moderately catatonic

wiseheart... but slowly getting my footing again. It just takes time - the older I get, the longer. *insert wry face*
Mum is still in the process of doing the ritual washing-up. Once a year, when we have to take out half the good china from the smaller cupboards so that they could be moved around to make the carpet cleaning possible, she insists on washing up those pieces. Regardless of the fact that in the rare cases those dishes get used we need to wash them anyway. I find it idiotic and unnecessary, but this is one of those battles I cannot win. It usually takes her about three days; so tomorrow there will be another round. *headdesk*
It is still very warm over here, so I went to grocery shopping in the morning. I also paid TEDI a visit at the Savoy park shopping centre and bought some lovely fabric that I absolutely don't need. And a thread set because it was on offer and stupid cheap. I don't need those, either, at least not now, but you can never know when strong, thick thread will be needed, and the colours are rather lovely. And I bought us in the supermarket strawberries and raspberries, which were also on offer, and Radler, just because I decided that we earned something good after yesterday's ordeal.
Neither of us felt like cooking, so we had savoury scones, coffee and ice-cream for lunch. Then I did a bit of crafting; all background elements and embellishments for Page 6 are done, which is more than I had originally hoped for. I also finished typing up that particular random scene I've been transcribing for days, so I count that as writing.
I even found the energy to wash my hair, so that I won't be glued to the dentist's chair tomorrow. All in all, a busy day, but in a good way.
