Lo and behold! Page 3 is finished!

Not that that would be such a feat, since all I had to add was the flea, everything else was done already, but still:



I am actually very happy with this one. That means three pages done, five more to go - I might even finish the book in time.

Other than that, I had to hop down to Lidl because whe'd run out of the detergent we use for the washing up. Since I was already there I did the grocery shopping as well, which meant I won't have to go in the next two days. Which is fortunate, as tomorrow is the big scheduled cleaning frenzy again.

How on Earth has two weeks gone by again? Sometimes I have the feeling that I'm a slave of this flat and do nothing else but serving it, putting things that I actually like doing aside because of the household duties. Grrrr!

Also, it's still very hot, not good for writing or any other higher brain activities. As well as picowrimo started off for me, I've apparently lost my momentum again. Not even chocolate seems to help anymore. *sigh*

You really do seem to be cleaning only once and that is always. It's always either pre or post cleaning frenzy.

We have been treating ourselves to some fresh fruit and veggies now, too. We went to the market yesterday for the first time in months, got redcurrants and raspberries as well as broad beans. It's been such a nice treat.

Cleaning is definitely not my favourite occupation, but I have a husband who willingly assists. Grandchildren have accepted that they have to clear up their toys and never put up a fuss. Life is too short to waste it with cleaning ;))

I have finally been able to catch up with your recent posts, and am completely delighted by the first three pages of the book! Whimsical, colorful, charming, this book is going to be a treasure! I am in awe of your creativity!

While you are having a string of hot weather, we are blessed with three days of cooler days, with the heat rising to only the low 80's (F), with morning breezes of only 60s.
We have even had a half inch of rain yesterday, which is a godsend, because there's been no rain, everything's dry.

I'm glad you got Mum out for a walk recently, too! I hope you will get some cooler weather soon and also have a visit from your writing muse:)
