I've made cherry compote.
I've baked a cherry pie.
I've made apricot jam.
I've cooked lunch.
I've done some minor crafting - I hoped to sew on four out of eight trees altogether but only managed two. The bloody trees have five branches each, which means twelve rows of stitches along the outline, through multiple layers of felt and the occasional layer of double-sided tape. My fingers couldn't take more, so I reluctantly stopped after two.

Too bad that the deadline won't be changed because of my poor appendages. Babies come to the world when they want, and the beginning of the school year won't be postponed, either.

It is deeply unfair.

I am pretty sure that there are kids aplenty who´d love to have the beginning of the school year postponed!

Oh man, all of this sounds delicious! And makes me eager to bake, too.

We just had the last leftovers from my baking and cooking spree on Monday. I'd baked waffles and made stuffed peppers in tomato sauce. We had the last of the waffles today, and while we finished the peppers yesterday, there is leftover sauce for pasta tonight. I love cooking from leftovers, the best cooking days!

They are good. The problem is, the days are too short, and one needs to sleep occasionally, too. *g*

I hate when a hobby ceases to be a pleasure, and becomes a race. It takes all the pleasure out of it.

True. Deadlines are evil. I'm currently planning to reschedule what I can to take some pressure off me.

That sounds like a lot to achieve (those branches!) and you are getting there. The cooking sounds delicious!

Yes, I am getting there, but way too slowly. :(
