Cooked alive

It is still hot like hell over here, but I had to go out nonetheless, since we had neither bread nor milk in the house, and we can't be without them. So I made a food run at 7.40 or so - a solo one, meaning that I only went to one shop: the Auchan supermarket. They had several things on offer, like milk, poppy seed buns, baking margarine, cherries, bananas and so on. Good news for the purse, bad news for the slave who had to haul everything home. (That would be me, just in case somebody might have any doubts.)

Also, I had to cook lunch, since the only food we had was leftover carrot soup and some cheesy noodles we already ate from twice. So I made zucchini chops, since I got an oversized one from my friend Evie, from her own garden. It was so big that I made chops of it for two days! This means: no cooking tomorrow, as we still have some of that carrot soup. Well, perhaps some potatoes as a side dish, but that's it. No cooking is good, especially on laundry day!

Consequently, very little crafting was done today. I did work a tiny bit on my songbook page bases - about half an hour or so. I hope to do better tomorrow, as the September deadline isn't as distant as I'd like to think. *sigh*

Poor you! In Sakzburg we were back to moderate 20 degrees all day long, though now in the evening the sun is back out!

Honestly? I've no idea. In any case, Rama baking margarine is supposed to be vegan — not that I care. I buy it because it makes great baked goods and it's sometimes on offer. Price is an important factor in our household.

Well, the only think I look at is the price — not very environmental-conscious, I know, but very budget-conscious. Which is why I don't bake with butter: I simply can't afford the price.
