... so I still go with the Radek working icon. *g*

Today, we had a visit from the (very talkative) chiropodist lady. I didn't get the full programme (thank God); I left right after she'd finished me, for school, where I ordered strawberries and eggs. Strawberries will arrive on Wednesday, so I'll have to go to school again to fetch them, and that means jam-making will be back on the menu.

Tomorrow we'll have a visit from the physiotherapist lady, I'll have to cook (which will include the peeling of asparagus) and I'll also have choir practice.

On Thursday, I'll have to go to school (again) because we're going to have a short practice with the children's choir; we have two things that we'll sing together with them. I also foresee a short trip to the other side of the town, where the best remaining craft shops can be found, since I'll be half-way there anyway. I originally planned to go today but I was so mentally exhausted from the chiropodist lady (as usual) that I barely managed to school and back.

On Friday we'll have an extra choir practice because our conductor thinks we need a refreshing round before concert. She's most likely right about that.

The actual concert is on Sunday evening, but before that we'll have to pack the flat together for Monday's cleaning frenzy. We haven't had the last scheduled one due to Pentecost Monday being a bank holiday, so this one will probably be rather... exhausting.

And on next Tuesday I'm having an appointment with the dentist, after which I'll have to make a detour to school to fetch the eggs as well, as they won't be arriving until that day. So yeah, it will be eventful.

Oh man, that's going to be a very busy week indeed. I hope at least some of it will be the enjoyable kind of busy. Will this be your first asparagus of the year? We had our first when dad visited for Pfingsten. We got 3 pounds for 8 euro, which meant we kept eating asparagus for several days even after he'd left.

That's quite a lot of things you have on your agenda!

The to-do list is a tad intimidating for an hermit like me. *g*

No, we've had asparagus half a dozen or so times already. I always bought them when they were on offer — except the last two times. But the season is so short, and we like the stuff so much; and besides, I only buy one pound a time, that lasts for the two of us at least two days.

Really sounds like a very busy week for you.
We always buy peeled asparagus at the farmer's, it's 1€ more expensive but worth it!

Well, the only place I can get the things is the supermarket, so it's not an option.

Isn't the physiotherapist lady also a chatty one?

No, she's actually nice. She chats with Mum instead of talking to her, which is a big difference. :)

Busy days. I have never peeled asparagus — I didn’t even know that is a thing!

I've learned it in Germany (had never as much as seen asparagus before) that you have to peel white asparagus (except the peaks, of course), while you don't have to peel the green ones. Since I don't really like the green version, I have to peel. *g*

Ah, that makes sense. I always eat green asparagus.

Goodness, that certainly is a lot of to and fro. I feel exhausted just looking at that schedule.

So do I, to be perfectly honest.
