I made a short food run in the morning. Then - after having breakfast with Mum and watching crap telly for a while - I went to Telecom to deal with the data confirming issue and put some money on Mum's phone. Also, to the post office to pay the cheque for some extra stuff that isn't getting drawn from my account regularly.

And since I was there already, I went to the ridiculously expensive craft shop over Telecom. Fortunately, I didn't find anything irresistible, which is often the case with that particular shop.

However, I had better(?) luck with the Bioladen (sorry, no idea what it is called in English) on the other side of the street: for the first time in nearly three years they actually had lyophilized raspberries that I sometimes use for fancy baking. They were insanely expensive, of course, but since I can go with one 100g-package for half a year, I snatched up three packages at once.

I finished my money-spending tour at Lindt, which was equally price-y. It is a good thing that I very rarely go to this particular shopping centre. But at least we are well-covered with yummy chocolate now. *g*

My friend Evie called in the afternoon and we talked on the phone for more than an hour. Yay for social life!

That's a successful shopping trip!

Glad you could finally get your raspberries. It's crazy how supply chains still aren't the same as before Covid, we have just grown used to some things not being available as they used to be. I was just reminded of that again last week when I checked my Bioladen and discovered they still don't have a specific kind of dried beans I haven't been able to get since Covid started.

I guess we used to be terribly spoiled before Covid.

We did. That everything is always available at exactly the time you want it, no need to plan ahead, feels so strange now

I'm really curious how it will affect the younger gen who had their first own household during or after Covid, for whom this is the only normal they know

Perhaps they'll learn to value what they do have more than the previous generation. At least I hope they will.

I like to chat on the phone. But I also notice, that during Covid some of my friends backed out and never came back in person. We talk to each other, but it´s nearly impossible to make them leave the house the way they did in the days before covid...

School time isn't so bad for me, since all my remaining acquaintances are former colleagues, and I show up at school once a week for choir practice. But during the vacations, well, the phone is the only way.

And I am deliriously happy that I've discovered it a decade or so ago. My life would be much less joyful without it. ;))
