Double success

I've finally finished the dratted textile book. Phew! Making the finger puppets was fun, but the cover was a nightmare. It took me hours to remove the temporary stitches alone! No new picture, as it doesn't look any different from the half-finished stage, save for the blanket stitch framing in pale pink, but if you people want a reminder, you can look up the old pictures here, on Pinterest.

I also made strawberry jam. Again, this isn't a new picture, but honestly, just how different could be the same jam in the same jars? Posted only to make your mouths water. ;))



Besides, this photo was taken before Pinterest would rearrange everything, thus clicking on it will result in a really big picture.

Mum volunteered to cook today, so we had chicken soup and chicken paprikas with pasta and a bit of cucumber, which was yummy. Mum is much better in this traditional stuff than I am. Of course she's deadly tired now, the poor thing. I was a bit... forceful about her lying down a bit, so she's resting at the moment. *g*

I love strawberry jam, but they are way too expensive here to make it yourself.

They are very expensive over here, too. But so is the jam you could buy at the supermarket, and the difference in taste is immens. We don't indulge in many price-y foodstuffs, but strawberries and raspberries are among the few.
