Since we already have 2005 over here, in Hungary. We've just listened to the national anthem (the most beautiful on the planet, not that I'd want to brag, but those are the facts), drunk some alcohol free champagne and feel terrible old now. *g*

Hope you all have a good time!

Oh, and I just got my very first review of the year from Jillian! Thanks! My Granny used to say, what happens to you on the first day of a new year, that will continue all year.

Weeeeeell, I certainly do hope so. *g*

Thanks. You're up celebrating, too? I guess the others across the ocean are still busy with preparations.

We had some pretty fireworks, someone fired them from the opposite 10-floor-concrete-building. It was a lovely sight.

Well, I never really celebrate New Year's... I spent a quiet evening at home, reading, watching some TV. But I opened a bottle of champagne to say good bye to 2004 and welcome 2005 - with hope for improvement.... ;-) There was a bit of fireworks, but only a fraction of what is usual. It seems people really did donate their money instead of buying fireworks.

Well, as you can see above, our so-called celebration was rather limited, too. I never had a "proper" Silvester party, and frankly, I don't even miss it.

At the age of 20, it was somewhat different, of course. But some things just aren't meant to be. Not that I'd have missed much (in hindsight), but at that time, it bothered me a great deal...

Yay! *dances around room* I was your first review. If you're Granny's right, you'll get tons of them this year.

I must admit you are right about the Hungarian National athem, it is a very nice one!
