In other words: I thought I'd give this long-unused icon a bit of spotlight again. I was very fond of Tyr Anasazi during the first 3 seasons of Andromeda.

It has nothing to do with my current day, though, which was fairly uneventful. Save for the fact that our cleaning lady called and asked if she could come on Sunday instead of Monday, for reasons I haven't completely understand but sounded acceptable. So not only did we have laundry day, we also have to do the whole pre-cleaning packing a day earlier. Plus, Mum had already decided that she wanted to make Faschiertes today (I think they're called fried meatballs in English, though I may be mistaken), and we had already taken the mincemeat out of the freezer when the call came. So she had to make the stuff nonetheless. She's very tired and resting a bit right now, but we still have all the packing to do. *sigh*

The good news is, though, that I talked to Evie on the phone and learned that she hadn't caught anything serious due to wading through the biblical flood yesterday. So that's comforting. I also worked a bit on the Hello Kitty booklets; the bathrooms now all have washing machines and a sink. Small progress but progress nonetheless.

Needs must. I can't do it on my own, and we have to do it when the help can come.

Cleaning on Sunday? In lots of blocks of flats you aren´t even allowed to turn your vacuum cleaner on except from ten to twelve in the morning!

Well, it wasn't our choice, obviously. And a lot of people who have to work during the week do their cleaning in the weekend.

Happy cleaning. I say that with a heavy voice because I loathe house-cleaning and I’m pretty sure you do too. Ideally, I should vacuum today because I can see dust on our floors, but I’ll have to see how mobile I am today. We bought one of those fancy Dyson vacuum cleaners and it has made life much easier.

In a flat as crowded as ours it will always remain a hard task.

Wow. That was one very busy Saturday. I imagine it will be Tuesday before you get your house back.

Nah, we already have put everything back where they belong. Otherwise we wouldn't be able to walk from one room to another.

Cleaning ladies tend to be a law unto themselves... here's hoping you can, now, have a quiet Monday.
