More baking

I gave two new recipes a try, and I'm happy to report that they've turned out great. For the German speakers among us, they are these and these. Mine aren't glazed and decorated yet; that will be done tomorrow, with Mum's help (she volunteered), and they'll look differently because I've got different cookie cutters. But I'm certain that they'll look great. They're very yummy in any case.

I made a full batch of both, as I tend to go by the recipe when I'm making something for the first time, so my friends Elise and Evie (and their grandchildren) will have a treat. :)

I also cooked lunch - Mary Berry's Panang Chicken Stir-fry - and worked a bit on the finger puppets. I now have a chicken, too. Not much writing was done, understandably enough, but I have produced a single paragraph and one line of dialogue, so I'm good.

After lunch, I emptied the washing machine, hung up the washing, and then went with Mum for a walk. All in all, a busy but very nice day. And now I'm determined to be very lazy for the rest of the evening. *g*

Trust me, it is not my idea to do so much in such short time slots. But most of my day turns around Mum and the household, and I'm trying to make the best what little me-time I can eke out.
