I spent the morning at the bank (finally managed to modify my monthly transfer to the company running our building), at the post office (paying the cheques for Mum's charities), at the craft shop (where they have managed to hide the beautiful craft papers so well that I didn't find them - well, at least no money was spent), at the newsagent's (my German crossword puzzle books haven't arrived yet) and at the supermarket, respectively.

Coming home, I tried to have a brief nap, but the physiotherapist arrived in the middle of it. Since I had to get up anyway, I did some crafting while she was working on Mum. Not much, just producing five identical kitty sofas in a frankly alarming shade of pink. But that's Hello Kitty for you. Lots and lots of pink.

After that, we had leftovers from yesterday (Shepherd's Pie) and vegetated in front of the telly for a while, until my friend Evie called. It was a pleasant conversation: she told me about her new garden, all the trees and bushes she's already planted and the ones she's still planning to plant, about the veggies she's currently germinating in her kitchen and all that. Her love for gardening is infectuous; too bad I was born with a dead thumb. *g*

I already did today's due of writing during the night, so I think I'll be lazy for the rest of the evening.

At least it sounds like you got some important things done. I bless the day they invented online banking. I do not miss standing in those lines.

I'd be deadly afraid of doing my banking online. It just doesn't seem safe to me. I know I'm a dinosaur but I can't help it.

You had a trying day, I´d say! Most people do online banking now- but like you I do not. Means that I am also one of those joining the line in front of the counter, which is definitely no fun at all!

No, but speaking with a living person gives me the (probably illusory) feeling that I have at least a vague idea what's happening!

I only became aware of the existence of Hello Kitty a few years ago, but I'm with you on the too pink. Fortunately, these things are for small girls who are fully in their pink, frilly and glittery phase; and by the time they outgrow it, these paper booklets would likely be ripe for the waste paper basket anyway. ;)
