Toffee Küsschen
Mar. 8th, 2023 06:45 pmToday I gave another biscuit recipe with Brazil nuts a try. It's a German recipe, and the name means toffee kisses, for the reason that they have caramel cream in the middle. Don't be afraid to take a look, virtual calories don't count:

Mum, the physiotherapist lady and yours truly are in complete agreement that the things are delicious, even though they don't look too pretty. They also require a lot of finicky work, so I may not make another batch all too soon. But it was worth a try.
Other than that, I cooked for two days, squeezed in a tiny bit of writing, typed up what I'd written yesterday, had a phone chat with our conductor who's currently having bronchitis and can barely speak, save then sing, and worked a bit on the binding of the baby books. Not much, just measuring and cutting out the cardboard for the inner binding - a complicated task, as the books have different sizes. As hectic as this week is, I still hope to get the binding done. That would be a huge relief.
