With laundry and cooking and all those unpleasant housework-y things, obviously.

Consequently, I started working on my craft project(s) somewhat late today and only managed to do half of what I had been originally planning to do. Of course, the fact that I suddenly decided to add some more embellishments to the one page I had actually finished yesterday did play a role. So I had to leave the 3rd one of the semi-identical pages for tomorrow because I really didn't feel all that creative after cooking.

Despite the fact that I've chickened out of the chicken and tarragon pie - sorry for the pun - and made some vaguely Chinese stir-fry with Kantonese rice instead. Well, vaguely Kantonese rice. Half the required ingredients I either didn't have or we don't like anyway. But it tasted good nonetheless. And I've made enough so that I won't have to cook tomorrow, which is a relief.

Other than that, nothing worth mentioning happened. Mum was chatting on the phone with her lady friends, I got ignored by the rest of the world as usual. But we are safe, we are okay health-wise, have a roof above our heads and enough to eat. Too many people have it much, much worse.

Life is what happens while you're busy making plans ... or something like that! ;-)

Unfortunately, it only works with small families. But yeah, it's very practical.

I try to do the cook once, eat twice. It means I don’t live on canned soup and toast! On the bad days I can’t even make a salad! Still, as you say, many people have it much worse. I’m lucky to have food to eat.

Cook once eat twice is something I try to do all the time. I simply don't like wasting my time on cooking. Baking is an entirely different thing, of course. *g*

I made slow cooker rice pudding yesterday, so I have dessert sorted for today and tomorrow. As for the main course...time for egg and chips again I think. I am cat feeding this evening, so it needs to be easy.

I always try to make cooking as easy as humanly possible. Cooking is tedious. Now, baking, OTOH...

I'm sure they are. Still, only one of them makes the effort to call; all others are waiting for me to do so. After a while it gets old.
