Wasted morning

I spent a good part of this morning at the bank; they offered me a different package of account management, which, in the end, I didn't accept. I didn't feel like getting a new credit card and getting text messages every time said card was used for anything and the likes. The advantage would have been a few hundred forints (equalling about 10-15 Euros) a year that could have been spared, and that simply wasn't worth the hassle, in my eyes. Mum agreed.

But it took me, as I said, half the morning, and it left me so brain dead afterwards that I wasn't good for anything that would have required at least two brain cells firing at the same time. So we ate leftovers from yesterday, watched some telly, then I took a two-hour nap and talked to my friend Evie afterwards, and that was basically my day.

I'm a bit annoyed, since had I known what their offer would include, I'd have refused it via phone right away. Who will give me those hours of my life back? Obviously nobody. And I'm too old to waste the remains of my life that way! *grrr*

I suspect they thought they had a better chance of brow beating you into it if they had you trapped in their office.

They clearly don't know me. The more they try to talk me into something, the more stubbornly I'll go into the other direction.

At least you were able to say no- hubby says yes way too often, that´s why we still have two dailies and some more things we do not need...
