Cake, cake, cake

I've been baking like a fiend all morning. I've finished the hummingbird cake, and I must say, it looks very lovely. I've made the mincemeat streusel traybake, with mixed results: the taste is great, but the cake base is fairly hard. Ah, well, I'm sure it will be eaten, too. The Lamingtons are in a half-finished state - I'll put them together tomorrow, as I don't want the whipped cream to wilt in the fridge all night - and I made the topping for the blinis. So, that leaves the cheesy buns and the blinis themselves for tomorrow morning, which is doable, I think. I hope...

Understandably enough, I was totally done in for the rest of the day and didn't do much else. Like, nothing else at all, but a crossword puzzle or two. *g*
