We had our regularly scheduled cleaning frenzy today, after which I made a food run because the weather was nice and sunny and you can never now what it will like tomorrow, right? We also detected that the balcony must have been leaked behind our backs sometime in recent days because there was a finger width of water in the plastic container. Everything else was dry, meaning that my inner plumbing, macGyvered together from a sponge, some tinfoil and a plastic box worked as it was intended to, which is a bit of comfort. *sigh*

Crafting-wise I was less lucky. After I had sewn in the last page of Dani's quiet book and was about to fix the other edge of the spine, I realized that the distance between the last page and the previous one was half a cm wider than between the other pages. It looked ugly, and I refuse to hand out ugly things. Not after I'd worked on it so much. So I swore a blue streak, and then undid the whole thing, pinned it together again and started anew. It isn't finished yet, as the time wasn't enough for that, plus my fingers rebelled, but I have high hopes for tomorrow.

At least I didn't have to cook today. We ate the leftover honey chicken from yesterday, with buttered rolls and some Tütensuppe. Tomorrow I'll have to cook again, but at least I do have a menu plan for the rest of the week.

We have a saying in Hungarian: "Help yourself and God will help you."
And yeah, that with the book was an annoyance, but I've got over it and redone the whole page, so it's okay.

Having a menu plan must be nice. I don't even know what I'll have later today.

Kudos to your McGyver skills!

Thanks! I don't actually have a menu plan; it's just so that I happened to see a few handsome zucchinis at Aldi and decided to make Mary Berry's Panang Fried Chicken, which usually lasts at least two days. So that takes care for Wednesday and Tuesday (I try to cook for more days in advance, so I get it done with one effort and one heap of rubbish). And since Quark will be reduced in price at Aldi starting Tuesday, it's a logical consequence that we'll have Topfenknödel on Friday. *g*

Exactly! I know a two-year-old won't care for crooked seams or whatnot, but my honour as a crafter wouldn't allow to leave a mistake in when I can correct it.

I don´t waste time on making a menue plan my husband would overturn the moment i think I´ve fixed it. That´s the way of men, everything has to be their way...
