I was a-hunting today

... which was a good idea, because an hour or so after I was done it started raining again. Brrr! There also came some snow, together with the rain, but it didn't even last long enough to reach the ground, so basically, it was just rain. Not that I'd mind. Snow is beautiful when looked at from a warm room, but if it's half-melted, slippery and frozen over, it's a serious risk! Especially if you have to lug along heavy shopping bags.

I planned to fry some fish for lunch but Mum had mercy with me and agreed to leftover soup and sandwiches. I'll make the fish tomorrow, honestly!

So I could start with the inner binding of the quiet book instead and managed to do 1/4 of the work, which is a great relief. Even though my fingers are a bit ruined again, and in some places I had to push the needle through with the help of the desktop and to pull it out with a pair of pliers. Ugh, I can't wait to be done with this phase entirely!

Not much else happened. We watched some telly, and will do it again, soon, and that was, basically, it. That and a couple of crossword puzzles.

Icy pavements are definitely no fun, when lugging shopping. I considered getting myself one of those shopping trolly's on wheels a couple of years ago, but they are no easier to manoeuvre on icy footpaths either.

Actually, the weekend is always the most stressful time in our house, due to the laundry on Saturday and getting up earlier on Sundays, so that Mum can attend to Mass, but I thank you nonetheless. *g*
