The day started out quite frustrating. Vodafone continues to be impotent, so I had another round of edgy discussion with their customer service on the phone. In the end I decided that - since, unlike the electricity, phone, gas, water and other providers, they are no longer capable of automatically get my money from the bank - I'll return to the Stone Age method: paper checks via postal service. It's their own damn fault!

Afterwards, I spent 40 "delightful" minutes at the bank, to get some info that I was given within two minutes after all that waiting. God, I hate it, when people steal my valuable time! To overcome my frustration, I visited the craft shops (that is, shops that have a small selection of craft supplies, among other things) and spent money on differently coloured Velcro stripes, small textile roses, ready-made felt appliqués and the likes. None of which I really needed, but craft supplies are addictive, and they help lifting my mood. Just like comfort food. Only that they don't make one fat. Unlike comfort food. *g*

In any case, it was too late to cook when I got back, so we decided to eat the leftover food we originally planned for tomorrow. Then we watched some telly, and I started working on the space rocket page. This one:

I cut out the individual pieces of the rocket and pinned them together on the dark blue background. My page is gonna be a bit different, with planets and moveable stars in the background, but the basic idea is the same.

As for Mum's birthday, so far 5 people have resurfaced and said that they'd like to come. Of course, there's always the odd chance that something happens in the last minute, but so far it looks promising.

Me, too. But I'll be happy enough if the six people (plus toddlers) who've signaled back will be there. :)

I hope Mum's birthday goes well. With little opportunity for her to leave the house, it's always nice when people come to her.

That is the basic idea, yes. And seeing the kiddies would make her especially happy.
