Quiet days can be busy, too!

We started with washing Mum's hair, since the hairdresser was coming today, and there is no way anyone else but the two of us can do this in our bathroom that has the size of a shoebox. Then I put away my cookie cutters and Christmas papers and stickers, thus lessening the chaos in my workroom/study, if only marginally, and made breakfast.

By then the re-run of Richterin Barbara Salesch - the programme I missed yesterday because of our choir rehearsal - started, so I watched some telly, putting away more stuff during the ad breaks. We had leftover Shepherd's Pie, so I didn't have to cook today, but I did finally finish the back cover of Dani's quiet book: 4 tiny pieces of Velcro are now firmly sewn on.

After lunch, the hairdresser arrived and made Mum very pretty indeed. In the meantime, I watched the next episode of Richterin Barbara Salesch, then I boxed some more cookies for another two recipients. Now only my friend Elise ought to produce a box for her due. She vaguely promised to come over today but hasn't so far, and I don't think she'll manage to do so, since it's fairly late for a visit already. She has three grandkids, an elderly father and an equally elderly mother-in-law who require lots of her time and attention, so it isn't easy for her to get away. Still, I hoped it would work today. Ah, well, Christmas isn't tomorrow.

I managed to wrench my right shoulder a few days ago - I still haven't a clue how. I just woke up with a hurting shoulder. It isn't too bad, it only hurts by certain moves - unfortunately, not always by the same moves, which makes avoiding such moves a bit difficult. The worst part with such minor injuries is that they take forever to heal. I'm putting horse salve on it regularly and hoping for the best.

I really hope your shoulder heals up soon, though you're right, shoulder injuries really do take a long time.

I rather doubt that it would be a quick process, but at least I'm not in a lot of pain; it's more of a nuisance, actually.

Ouchie! Shoulder injuries are a real nuisance. I once damaged my rotator cuff and had to endure weeks of treatment.

Yeah, it's unpleasant, but not unbearable, so I count myself lucky.

Not much of a change so far. But it is not too bad, so I'm not whining... too much. ;)
