Erster Adventssonntag
Nov. 27th, 2022 08:30 pmI've decorated my chocolate-pecan-banana-walnut cookies today. Last year I tried to colour them green and they ended up looking like frogs, so I thought I'd make them frogs this time. Only that now I wanted them look like frogs... they didn't. Typical. But they ended up looking very funny, like little monsters, so I decided that they are, in fact, tree gnomes that tend to live in pine trees, hence the colour and the bumpy surface. For camouflage, of course.
Take a look:

Are they cute or are they cute? I think the kids will love them. I haven't taken pictures of the cashew-coconut balls or the double ginger cookies because they look exactly like last time. You can view them - and the original "frogs" - here and here.
I made stuffed chicken legs for lunch because last night's "Britain's Best Home Cook" episode had roast as one of the challenges, and it gave me a terrible appetite for something similar. Especially as we were living on leftover soup and sandwiches for two days previously. It turned out very yummy, but all that time in the kitchen drained me like whoa. Cooking isn't really my passion.
I still managed to watch some more Primeval and jot down some more original dialogue, before I'd fall asleep in front of the telly. *g*
Oh, and I did climb onto the ladder to dig out the Advent wreath from the upper section of our wardrobe, after all. So we are all Advent-y now:

Wishing you all a peaceful pre-Christmas time, despite all the ugliness around us.
