... is in full swing at the moment. Today I've made 13 new cards, so I'm up to 38 different ones, and it doesn't look as if I'd be running out of paper any time soon. Still have 34 blank cards I can't use for anything else, so I'm determined to work on them as long as my scraps last. I just hope the Christmas fair doesn't get cancelled again, because that would be annoying. Of course, I can always give away the cards as gifts for my fellow choir members and ex-colleagues, so they won't go waste. Still, it would be nice to participate in the fair again.

Aside from the card obsession, I cooked lunch today, and with that, the day was basically over. The weather is not good to take Mum out for a walk, so we climbed a few strings of stairs, so that her leg muscles won't deteriorate. It's a shame I can't take her to Auchan's, so that she could enjoy their pre-Christmas spectacle. The decoration items and chocolate Santas and stuff fill a dozen free-standing shelves. Literally. Auchan always makes the most spectacular display of such things, and Mum so loved walking through the whole madness and examine everything closely. *sigh*

Well, at least we are both warm, fed and reasonably healthy. I need to remind myself to count my blessings.

See, you need to buy yourself a new mobile, so that you can take pictures and show them to your mum!

I could take pictures with the iPad mini, but it isn't the view she misses, it is the experience.

They're doing the Dickens fair in SF again this year after it had been cancelled for a couple of years (covid of course) so I'm really psyched to go in a couple of weeks!

Mum and I went to Vienna each year for the Christmas fair for a very long time. We won't be able to do so any more, but I live for the hope that we'll be able to held our little fair this year. Even if Mum can't come, although she always did.

Warm, fed and reasonably healthy is not to be sniffed at in our present economic crisis. They are blessings, indeed.

So do I! We've missed out two years; I pray that Covid would allow us to have it this time.
