Birthday-related things and other picspam

First things first: Happy Birthday, jenn_calaelen! I happily offer you a virtual sample of the things served on my 66. birthday party last Sunday. There are sausage rolls, banana bread, an apple jelly tart, horribly failed Bakewell slices, little meat balls, cranberry-orange-cream scones, cheesy buns and two mini sponge cakes for the two toddlers tudning 2, with chocolate icing. Take your pick!


I hope you had a lovely day, with good food and good friends and lots of fun!

Also, R.I.P, Grandpa dear! He'd be 126 today - if he were a Hobbit or a Dwarf. As he wasn't either, he died back in 1967. I still miss him terribly.

In other news, the mini decided to cooperate for the time being, so I've taken photos of the full choir of rosy-cheeked little angels (and yes, the one AWOL for so long has showed up in the end) and of the snowman brigade. Enjoy:




Other than that, I made a food run in the late morning, we ate leftovers, watched some telly and I had a nice, long phone conversation with my friend Evie. All in all, a most satisfying day.

They had great fun with rearranging them on the cakes, which looked like Swiss cheese in the end. Until Abel decided to simply chow the chocolate icing off his cake. :)
